OPENING CEREMONY OF FIT FOR RBAF CONTINGENT UNDER MALBATT 850-9

29 JUNE 2021, PENANJONG GARRISON - The opening ceremony for the Force Integration Training (FIT) for Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Contingent under Malaysian Battalion 850-9 (MALBATT 850-9) was held today at the RBAF Training Institute Library.

Present as the guest of honor was Colonel Saifulrizal bin Abdul Latif, Chief of Staff of the Joint Force Headquarters Royal Brunei Armed Forces (JFHQ RBAF).

In efforts to overcome the global pandemic, the RBAF Contingent will be attending the training in Brunei Darussalam from the 28th  June 2021 and will end on the 20th August 2021. The program will be held via Video Tele Conference with the Malaysian Battalion in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. RBAF personnel who have attended the United Nations Expert on Mission (UNMEOM) Course and instructors from the Malaysian Peacekeeping Centre will also assist for this programme.

The aim of FIT is to integrate and train personnel from various formation in Armed Forces in order to prepare them for the United Nations mission roles in accordance to the standard set by the United Nations Department of Peacekeeping Operation.
