RBAF CONTINGENT FOR THE 4TH INDEPENDENT DECOMMISSIONING BODY, VERIFICATION, MONITORING AND ASSISTANCE TEAM 4/2022 RETURNED HOME
BOLKIAH GARRISON, Tuesday, 9 May 2023 – The 4th Independent Decommissioning Body, Verification, Monitoring and Assistance Team 4/2022 (IDB VMAT 4/2022), which was led by Lieutenant Colonel Hairin bin Japar, safely returned to Brunei Darussalam on 3 May 2023 after successfully completing their tours of duty in Mindanao, the Republic of the Philippines.
EXERCISE CROIX DU SUD 2023
NOUMEA, Saturday, 6 May 2023 – Two Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) officers Lieutenant Colonel Haji Airul Wizam and Major Ahmad Bohare took part in the Croix Du Sud Exercise (CDS 23) in New Caledonia organized by the French Armed Forces (FANC) from Monday, 24 April to Sunday, 07 May, 2023. CDS 23 is the tenth iteration of a series of multinational joint exercises participated by 20 countries such as Australia, Germany, Japan, New Zealand, Tonga, United States and the United Kingdom, as well as regional partners in Southeast Asia such as Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.
FOURTH INDEPENDENT DECOMMISSIONING BODY VERIFICATION, MONITORING AND ASSISTANCE TEAM (IDB VMAT) 4/2022 RETURNS
BERAKAS, Wednesday, 3 May 2023 – Four Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) officers who were part of the IDB VMAT 4/2022, returned safely to Brunei Darussalam on 3 May 2023 after a 13 months deployment since March last year under IDB VMAT 4/2022 in Mindanao Republic Philippines along with other member countries including Turkey and Norway as well as representatives from the Government of the Republic of the Philippines, Government of Japan, the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), Philippine National Police (PNP) and Office of the Presidential Adviser On Peace Reconciliation and Unity (OPAPRU).

BOLKIAH GARRISON, Thursday, 27 April 2023 – Brunei Darussalam will deploy four officers from the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) as members of the Independent Decommissioning Body Verification, Monitoring and Assistance Team (IDB VMAT 5/2023) in Mindanao, Republic of the Philippines. A flag handing-over ceremony was held at Bolkiah Garrison this morning.
