ASEAN PEACEKEEPING CENTRES NETWORK CONFERENCE
BOLKIAH GARISSON, THURSDAY, 16 JULY 2020 - The ASEAN Peacekeeping Centres Network under the chair of Major General Hoang Kim Phung, Director of Vietnam Department of Peacekeeping Operations (VNDPKO) held a virtual meeting under the theme of “Enhancing APCN’s cooperation efforts in response to COVID-19 Pandemic”.
CLOSING CEREMONY FOR EXERCISE PENGUIN AIR PHASE SERIES 01/2020
MNCC, MUARA, TUESDAY, 14 JULY 2020 – The closing ceremony for Exercise Penguin Air Phase Series 01/2020 was held today at MNCC, Muara. Exercise Penguin was conducted from 1 July 2020 until 14 July 2020. This year, the exercise saw the first joint effort involving assets from the Royal Brunei Armed Forces and the Royal Australian Air Force such as the P-8 Military surveillence aircraft from Royal Australian Air Force(RAAirF), Joint Forces Headquarters (JFHQ), Patrol Vessels from the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) and Blackhawk Helicopters from the Royal Brunei Airforce (RBAirF).
26th EXERCISE CARAT INITIAL PLANNING CONFERENCE
MUARA, TUESDAY, 07 JULY 2020 – A 2 day Initial Planning Conference (IPC) for the Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Bilateral Exercise between the United States Armed Forces (U.S. Armed Forces) and the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) was held online via video teleconference for the first time today at the Multi National Coordination Centre (MNCC), Muara.
The IPC was co-chaired by Lieutenant Colonel (U) Radhuan bin Haji Abdul Hamid, Staff Officer Grade 1 J7 (Joint Training), Joint Force Headquarters RBAF and Captain Mark Asuncion, USN Assistant Chief of Staff to International Strategy and Engagement. The IPC was also attended by representatives from participating units in both Armed Forces.
EXERCISE PENGUIN AIR PHASE 01/2020 ACTIVATED AT ROYAL BRUNEI AIR FORCE
RIMBA AIR FORCE BASE, MONDAY, 29 JUNE 2020 – The first series of Exercise PENGUIN Air Phase, a joint exercise coordinated by the Joint Force Headquarters, commenced with an opening ceremony that took place at the Air Movement Centre (AMC), Rimba Air Force Base today. Exercise Penguin is conducted between Royal Brunei Armed Forces, specifically Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) and Royal Brunei Air Force, and the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) and Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) and will be carried out in Brunei Darussalam from 29 June to 14 July 2020. One Blackhawk S-70i from RBAirF, KDB DARUSSALAM and KDB DARUTTAQWA of RBN will conduct military exercise together with RAN as well as the P-8A Poseidon from RAAF.

BOLKIAH GARISSON, FRIDAY, 26 JUNE 2020 - A farewell and appreciation event for Staff Officer Grade 1 J6, Lt Col (U) Zainolhizad bin Hj Mohd Zain, Staff Officer Grade 2 J4, Major Aida Juraifah@Zuraifah binti Bujang and Staff Officer Grade 2, Capt (U) Nooras bin Hj Abdullah was held at Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ), Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) today.
FAREWELL AND APPRECIATION EVENT FOR RETIRING OFFICERS
BOLKIAH GARISSON, FRIDAY, 05 JUNE 2020 - A farewell and appreciation event for the Head of Joint Doctrine and Warfare Centre (Head JDWC), Colonel Haji Mohammad Huzaimi Bin Pehin Datu Harimaupadang Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Husin Haji Huzaimi and Staff Officer Grade 3 J6, Lieutenant Nazirul Rusydi Bin Roslan was held at Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ), Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) today.
