THE FIRST RETURNING FLIGHT OF THE MALAYSIAN BATTALION CONTINGENT (MALBATT) 850-11 FOR THE PEACEKEEPING MISSION OF THE UNITED NATIONS INTERIM FORCE IN LEBANON (UNIFIL) SAFELY ARRIVED AT SUBANG AIRBASE, MALAYSIA

SUBANG AIRBASE, MALAYSIA, Friday, 8 November 2024 - The first returning flight of the Malaysian Battalion Contingent (MALBATT) 850-11 for the peacekeeping mission of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) consisting of 196 members of the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) and ten members of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) led by Lieutenant Mohammad Iqbal bin Awang Sidik has safely arrived at Subang Airbase, Malaysia this morning.

Present to welcome their return was welcomed by Yang Berbahagia Major General Dato' Tong Veng Leong, Assistant Chief of Staff J3 of the Joint Forces Headquarters, MAF (ACOS J3 JFHQ MAF). Also present were Lieutenant Colonel Rudie Asmawi bin Haji Abidin, Brunei Darusslam's Defence Adviser to Malaysia, Senior Officers from the MAF and family members of the MALBATT 850-11 contingent.

The parade ceremony as soon as they landed and started with a General Salute from the contingent, followed by the MAF song and speech from ACOS J3 JFHQ MAF. The chanting of 'Gempur Wira' ended the parade and concluded with the recitation of the Doa.

The subsequent flight of MALBATT 850-11 consists of 206 personnel from the ATM and eight RBAF personnel will be scheduled to depart from Lebanon to Malaysia on Monday, 11 November 2024. The members will be stationed at MALBATT Village, Port Dickson until all members of MALBATT 850-11 return to Malaysia.

 

 

 

 

 


PENERBANGAN PERTAMA BAGI KEPULANGAN KONTINJEN MALAYSIAN BATTALION (MALBATT) 850-11 BAGI MISI PENGAMAN PASUKAN INTERIM PERTUBUHAN BANGSA-BANGSA BERSATU DI LUBNAN (UNIFIL) SELAMAT SAMPAI DI PANGKALAN UDARA SUBANG, MALAYSIA

PANGKALAN UDARA SUBANG, MALAYSIA, Jumaat, 8 November 2024 - Penerbangan pertama bagi kepulangan Kontinjen Malaysian Battalion (MALBATT) 850-11 bagi misi pengaman Pasukan Interim Pertubuhan Bangsa-Bangsa Bersatu di Lubnan (UNIFIL) yang terdiri daripada 196 anggota Angkatan Tentera Malaysia (ATM) dan sepuluh anggota Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) yang diketuai oleh Leftenan Mohammad Iqbal bin Awang Sidik telahpun selamat tiba di Pangkalan Udara Subang, Malaysia pagi ini.

Hadir bagi mengalu-alukan kepulangan mereka ialah Yang Berbahagia Mejar Jeneral Dato' Tong Veng Leong, Penolong Ketua Staf J3, Markas Angkatan Bersama ATM (PKS J3 MAB ATM). Turut hadir adalah Yang Mulia Leftenan Kolonel Rudie Asmawi bin Haji Abidin, Penasihat Pertahanan Negara Brunei Darussalam ke Malaysia, Pegawai-Pegawai Kanan ATM serta ahli-ahli keluarga kontinjen MALBATT 850-11.

Upacara perbarisan berlangsung sejurus turuni pesawat yang dimulai dengan tabik hormat dari kontinjen dan diikuti dengan lagu ATM serta ucapan dari PKS J3 MAB ATM. Seruan 'Gempur Wira' mengakhiri perbarisan dan disusuli dengan bacaan Doa.

Penerbangan kepulangan bagi MALBATT 850-11 yang seterusnya terdiri daripada 206 anggota ATM dan 8 anggota ABDB akan dijadualkan berlepas dari Lubnan ke Malaysia pada hari Isnin, 11 November 2024. Kesemua anggota akan ditempatkan di MALBATT Village, Port Dickson terlebih dahulu sehingga keseluruhan anggota MALBATT 850-11 kembali ke Malaysia.
