MARITIME TECHNICAL WORKSHOP STRENGTHENS MARITIME SECURITY COOPERATION

THE RADISSON HOTEL, BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Tuesday, 27 January 2026 – The Legal Security Division, Prime Minister's Office, in collaboration with the United States Embassy, through the National Maritime Coordination Centre (NMCC), organised a Maritime Technical Workshop, where the workshop aimed to share best practices and effective strategies in enhancing maritime security, tailored to the context and requirements of Brunei Darussalam. The programme featured a sharing session by a guest speaker, Vice Admiral (R) Peter Gautier, who previously served as the Acting Commandant of the United States Coast Guard. Also present was Her Excellency Caryn R. McClelland, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Brunei Darussalam.


THE COMBINED TEAM MINDEF EMERGED AS CHAMPIONS IN WATER POLO AT THE RBAF SWIMMING AND WATER POLO CHAMPIONSHIP 2025/2026

RIMBA AIR FORCE BASE, Friday, 23 January 2026 - The Combined Team from the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF), comprising of Joint Force (JF), Special Forces Regiment (SFR) and the Training Institute (TI), won the Water Polo sport event at the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Swimming and Water Polo Championship in conjunction to the 64th Anniversary 2025 held from 20 to 23 January 2026 at the Sports Complex, Rimba Air Force Base. ​


ROYAL BRUNEI ARMED FORCES OFFICERS PARTICIPATED IN THE TABLE TOP EXERCISE FOR BRUNEI DARUSSALAM’S NATIONAL OIL SPILL CONTINGENCY PLAN (NOSCOP) 2026

THE CENTREPOINT HOTEL, GADONG, Monday, 26 January 2026 – Two officers from the Joint Force, Royal Brunei Armed Forces (JF RBAF), participated in a one-day Table Top Exercise (TTX) for Brunei Darussalam's National Oil Spill Contingency Plan (NOSCOP) 2026. The exercise was organised by the Maritime and Port Authority of Brunei Darussalam (MPABD) and facilitated by Oil Spill Response Limited (OSRL) aimed to strengthen coordination and collaboration among government agencies and key private sector stakeholders under the framework of Brunei Darussalam's national oil spill response mechanism.


HANDOVER CEREMONY FOR JOINT FORCE ROYAL BRUNEI ARMED FORCES SERGEANT MAJOR

​BOLKIAH GARRISON, Wednesday, 14 January 2026 – The Joint Force Royal Brunei Armed Forces (JF RBAF) held the Handover Ceremony between the outgoing Sergeant Major, Warrant Officer 1 Sahrol bin Omar, and the newly appointed Joint Force Sergeant Major, Warrant Officer 1 Mohd Dino Erwandy bin Abd Rahim at the New Gymnasium, Bolkiah Garisson. ​


JF RBAF PERSONNEL COMPLETED THE REGIMENTAL SIGNAL INSTRUCTOR RBAF COURSE 2025

PENANJONG GARRISON, Thursday 15 January 2026 – Personnel from J3 (Air), Joint Force, Royal Brunei Armed Forces (JF RBAF), Lance Corporal (U) Muhamad Syafiq Izzat bin Ajrin completed the Regimental Signal Instructor RBAF Course for Session 2025 at the Signal Training Wing, Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF), Penanjong Garrison. The course was conducted from from 10 November 2025 to 15 January 2026 and attended by a total of 26 participants consisting of personnel from various units in RBAF including the Gurkha Security Unit.
