BOLKIAH GARISSON, WEDNESDAY, 11 MAY 2022 – Brigadier General (U) Haji Alirupendi bin Haji Perudin, Joint Force Commander received a farewell call from Commander Randall D. Jones, the outgoing Chief, Office of Defence Cooperation United States of America to Brunei Darussalam earlier today. Accompanying Commander Randall D. Jones was Lieutenant Commander Samuel S. Kim, the incoming Chief, Office of Defence Cooperation United States of America to Brunei Darussalam. Also in attendance were Staff Officer Grade 1 Intelligence and Staff Officer Grade 1 Training of the Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ).
During the call, both sides acknowledged the close diplomatic cooperation and strong bilateral relations between Brunei Darussalam and United States of America. The Joint Force Commander conveyed his appreciation for the friendly and progressing defence and military relation between both countries over the years and looks forward in continuing the positive development and active interactions in the future. The Joint Force Commander also conveyed his appreciation for Commander Randall D. Jones’ efforts in enhancing the bilateral defence relations between Brunei Darussalam and United States, especially in the realisation of the CARAT and SEACAT Exercises despite COVID-19.
Commander Randall D. Jones was appointed as the Chief of USA Defence Cooperation in Brunei Darussalam in June 2019 and will continue his career endeavour in Hawaii.
