BOLKIAH GARRISON, Wednesday, 18 October 2023 – The Joint Force Headquarters Royal Brunei Armed Forces hosted a visit from Deputy Commander Southern Theatre Command, People's Liberation Army, People's Republic of China and delegation to Negara Brunei Darussalam.
The delegation was led by Vice Admiral Wei Wenhui, Deputy Commander Southern Theatre Command, People's Liberation Army, People's Republic of China. Joining the delegation were Rear Admiral Liu Rongfu, Deputy Commander of Southern Theatre Command Navy and Major General Liu Jinrui, Commander of Nanning Air Force Base.
Vice Admiral Wei Wenhui and his delegation are in the country for a four-day visit from 15 to 18 October 2023. As part of the programme, Vice Admiral Wei Wenhui took the opportunity to paid a courtesy call separately on Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Retired) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Minister of Defence II, and visit to the Royal Brunei Air Force.
Negara Brunei Darussalam and People's Republic of China has maintained a warm relationship since the establishment of its diplomatic relations on 30 September 1991. Meanwhile, the cornerstone of the bilateral defence relations between the two countries was through the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on Military Exchanges in 2003 and was further enhanced with the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on Strengthening Defence Cooperation in 2017, which ranges from exchange of visits, military exercises and courses across all levels of military personnel.
The visit underscores the cordial defence relations between Negara Brunei Darussalam and People's Republic of China.

BOLKIAH GARISON, Rabu, 18 Oktober 2023 – Markas Angkatan Bersama Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei telah menghoskan kunjungan daripada Deputy Commander Southern Theatre Command, People's Liberation Army, Republik Rakyat China dan rombongan ke Negara Brunei Darussalam.
Rombongan tersebut diketuai oleh Vice Admiral Wei Wenhui, Deputy Commander Southern Theatre Command, People's Liberation Army, Republik Rakyat China. Rombongan juga turut dihadiri oleh Rear Admiral Liu Rongfu, Deputy Commander of Southern Theatre Command Navy dan Major General Liu Jinrui, Commander of Nanning Air Force Base.
Vice Admiral Wei Wenhui dan rombongan membuat lawatan ke Negara Brunei Darussalam selama empat hari. Sebahagian daripada program tersebut, Vice Admiral Wei Wenhui telah berkesempatan untuk mengadakan kunjungan hormat secara berasingan kepada Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Mejar Jeneral (Bersara) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri dan Menteri Pertahanan II, dan lawatan ke Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei.
Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Republik Rakyat China telah mengekalkan hubungan mesra sejak penubuhan hubungan diplomatik pada 30 September 1991. Sementara itu, hubungan pertahanan dua hala antara kedua-dua buah negara adalah melalui pemeteraian Memorandum Persefahaman mengenai Pertukaran Tentera pada tahun 2003 dan ianya dipertingkatkan lagi dengan pemeteraian Memorandum Persefahaman mengenai Pengukuhan Kerjasama Pertahanan pada tahun 2017, yang merangkumi pertukaran, lawatan, latihan ketenteraan dan kursus bagi semua peringkat anggota tentera.
Lawatan tersebut setentunya menggariskan hubungan pertahanan yang mesra di antara Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Republik Rakyat China.
