MANILA, 28 October 2024 - The Royal Brunei Armed Forces Humanitarian and Disaster Relief Team from Operation BADAI TADUH has safely arrived at Col Jesus Villamor Air Base, Manila, yesterday at 5.09 in the afternoon local time.

Also present was Lieutenant Colonel Suzana binti Haji Antin, the Defence Attaché of Brunei Darussalam to the Republic of the Philippines.

Today, the RBAirF Transport Aircraft C295MW began conducting Air Logistic Support through a cargo flight sortie, transporting critical supplies and aid from Col Jesus Villamor Air Base, Manila to Bicol International Airport, Luzon Republic of Philippines.

Meanwhile, the two RBAirF Blackhawk S70i helicopters that were initially scheduled to depart to Bicol International Airport tomorrow, had to be delayed due to Tropical Storm Leon. The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Multinational Coordinating Centre (MNCC) has issued a weather advisory warning and all types of flights had to be cancelled. These helicopters will play a crucial role in extending the delivery of aid to remote regions with limited accessibility.

This effort symbolises a close bond and a shared commitment to regional cooperation and support as well as underscores the Ministry of Defence's commitment to providing aid to those affected by natural disasters.
