BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Wednesday, 27 August 2025 – The Joint Force Headquarters, Royal Brunei Armed Forces (JFHQ RBAF) and the United States Navy (USN) have concluded a two-day Middle Planning Conference (MPC) for the 31st series of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training 2025 (CARAT 31/2025) exercise. This bilateral conference took place at the Raddison Hotel, Bandar Seri Begawan.
The MPC was co-chaired by Major Zulazri bin Gapor, Acting Staff Officer Grade 1, J7 (Training) Cell JFHQ RBAF, and Lieutenant Commander Nicholas Eppler, Theatre Sustainment Command (TSC), USN. The conference also attended by participants from RBAF units and USN representatives, in-person and via video tele-conference.
During the conference, participants engaged in working groups to discuss activities involving Subject Matter Expert Exchanges (SMEEs) and to refine the exercise's Scheme of Manoeuvre and Schedule of Events during shore phase. By the end of the session, RBAF and USN participants expressed their confidence and strong hope that the commitment and hard work will pay off in setting out a smooth sequence during the actual day of exercise.
This MPC for CARAT 31/2025 aims to enhance international cooperation and increase the level of proficiency and interoperability for both RBAF and USN personnel in addressing current and future contemporary and complex threats. The CARAT 31/2025 Exercise is scheduled to be conducted in October 2025.
MAB ABDB MELAKSANAKAN MIDDLE PLANNING CONFERENCE UNTUK COOPERATION AFLOAT READINESS AND TRAINING 2025KALI KE (CARAT 31/2025)
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Rabu, 27 Ogos 2025 – Markas Angkatan Bersama Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (MAB ABDB) dan Tentera Laut Amerika Syarikat (USN) telah selesai mengadakan Middle Planning Conference (MPC) selama dua hari bagi latihan Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training siri ke-31 (CARAT 31/2025). Persidangan dua hala ini berlangsung di Hotel Radisson, Bandar Seri Begawan.
MPC ini telah dipengerusikan bersama oleh Mejar Zulazri bin Gapor, Pemangku Pegawai Turus J7 (Latihan) MAB ABDB, dan Leftenan Komander Nicholas Eppler, Theatre Sustainment Command (TSC), USN. Turut hadir dalam persidangan ini juga adalah peserta daripada unit-unit ABDB dan perwakilan dari USN, secara langsung dan melalui video tele-conference (VTC).
Sepanjang persidangan berlangsung, para peserta menubuhkan kumpulan kerja bagi membincangkan aktiviti yang melibatkan Subject Matter Expert Exchanges (SMEEs) (SMEEs), penambahbaikan pergerakan dan aturcara eksesais. Pada penghujung sesi, peserta dari dua negara tersebut menyatakan keyakinan serta harapan kuat mereka untuk terus komited dan berusaha untuk mendapatkan hasil yang baik dan kelancaran pada hari pelaksanaan akan datang.
MPC untuk CARAT 31/2025 ini bertujuan memperkukuhkan lagi kerjasama antarabangsa dan meningkatkan tahap kecekapan serta interoperabiliti anggota tentera kedua-dua negara dalam menangani ancaman semasa dan yang akan datang yang bersifat kontemporari serta kompleks. Eksesais CARAT 31/2025 dijadualkan akan berlangsung pada Oktober 2025.
