INDO-PACIFIC ENDEAVOUR 05/2025 CONCLUDES WITH MARITIME SECURITY AND LAW DIALOGUE CLOSING CEREMONY

BOLKIAH GARRISON, Thursday, 13 November 2025 — The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), in collaboration with the Australian Defence Force (ADF), officially concluded the Maritime Security & Law Dialogue today at the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies (SHHBIDSS). The closing ceremony also marked the completion of Indo-Pacific Endeavour 05/2025 (IPE 05/2025), which constitutes the second and final phase of this year's Indo Pacific Endeavour engagement in Brunei Darussalam. The first phase of IPE 05/2025 was conducted from 15 to 18 September 2025.

The closing ceremony was jointly officiated by the Fleet Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy, Captain Sonny Iskandar Rasani, RBN and the Head of the ADF delegation, Commodore Peter Leavy. In his remarks, Commodore Leavy highlighted the importance of continued cooperation and shared commitment to maintaining maritime security within the Indo-Pacific region.

Held over two days, the dialogue built on the momentum of the earlier phase and reaffirmed the strong defence cooperation and maritime partnership between Brunei Darussalam and Australia. The programme featured professional exchanges and a Table-Top Exercise (TTX) involving Brunei Darussalam's maritime and enforcement agencies, underscoring strong interagency collaboration and collective efforts to enhance maritime security.

IPE 05/2025 this year provided a platform for RBAF and ADF personnel to strengthen collaboration and explore future opportunities for enhanced information sharing. The exercise highlighted potential initiatives and programs aimed at improving operational effectiveness, interoperability and readiness, setting the stage for continued joint efforts to advance the capabilities of both Armed Forces.​






INDO-PACIFIC ENDEAVOUR 05/2025 BERAKHIR DENGAN UPACARA PENUTUP MARITIME SECURITY AND LAW DIALOGUE

BOLKIAH GARISON, Khamis, 13 November 2025 — Tentera Laut Diraja Brunei (TLDB), dengan kerjasama Australian Defence Force (ADF), telah menamatkan secara rasmi Dialog Keselamatan dan Undang-Undang Maritim hari ini di Institut Pengajian Pertahanan dan Strategik Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (SHHBIDSS). Majlis penutup ini turut menandakan berakhirnya Indo-Pacific Endeavour 05/2025 (IPE 05/2025), yang merupakan fasa kedua dan terakhir bagi pelaksanaan Indo-Pacific Endeavour tahun ini di Negara Brunei Darussalam. Fasa pertama IPE 05/2025 telah dilaksanakan bermula 15 hingga 18 September 2025.

Majlis penutup tersebut telah disempurnakan bersama oleh Pemerintah Armada, Tentera Laut Diraja Brunei, Kapten Sonny Iskandar Rasani, TLDB dan Ketua Delegasi ADF, Commodore Peter Leavy. Dalam ucapannya, Commodore Peter Leavy menekankan kepentingan kerjasama berterusan serta komitmen bersama dalam memelihara keselamatan maritim di rantau Indo-Pasifik.

Program selama dua hari ini memperkukuhkan lagi usaha yang telah dimulakan semasa fasa pertama dan menambahbaik kerjasama pertahanan serta hubungan maritim antara Brunei Darussalam dan Australia. Program ini turut merangkumi sesi perkongsian profesional dan Table-Top Exercise (TTX) yang melibatkan agensi-agensi luar maritim dan penguatkuasaan Negara Brunei Darussalam, sekali gus menyerlahkan kerjasama antara agensi-agensi dalam meningkatkan keselamatan maritim.

IPE 05/2025 tahun ini telah menjadi platform bagi anggota ABDB dan ADF untuk memperkukuh kerjasama serta meneroka peluang masa depan dalam perkongsian maklumat. Latihan ini menekankan inisiatif serta program yang dirancang untuk meningkatkan keberkesanan operasi dan kesiapsiagaan, sekaligus mewujudkan asas bagi usaha bersama yang berterusan dalam memajukan keupayaan kedua-dua Angkatan Tentera.
