MUARA, WEDNESDAY, 04 AUGUST 2021 – Mid Planning Conference for Exercise Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training 2021 (MPC CARAT 2021) was held virtually at the Multi National Coordination Centre (MNCC), Muara. The MPC CARAT 2021 was chaired by Captain Tim LaBenz, Deputy Commodore, DESRON 7, USN and co-chaired by Lieutenant Colonel (U) Radhuan bin Hj Abd Hamid, Staff Officer 1 J7, JFHQ RBAF.
MPC CARAT 2021 discussed of a joint planning and preparation for the Final Planning Conference (FPC) which is planned on the 4th October to 5th October 2021.
This year will be the 27th CARAT held and is planned to be in November 2021. Since 1994, CARAT has facilitated an open exchange of ideas focusing on common interests through Subject Matters Expert Exchange and is aimed to enhance interoperability, cooperation, understanding and mutual benefit for at sea maritime engagement, surveillance, and interoperability between Royal Brunei Armed Forces and US Navy.
