JOINT FORCE HEADQUARTERS 13TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

BOLKIAH GARRISON, MONDAY, 14 DECEMBER 2020 – The Joint Force Headquarters Royal Brunei Armed Forces (JFHQ RBAF) held its 13th Anniversary Celebration at the Multipurpose Hall, Bolkiah Garrison. The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by 1296 Lt (U) Hj Syasuandi bin Haji Abu Bakar from the RBAF Religious Department (JAMA'AT) followed by a Promotion Presentation Ceremony for a total of 18 personnel, both Senior Non-Commissioned Officers and Junior Non-Commissioned Officers respectively.

Present as the Guest of Honour was Brigadier General Haji Abdul Razak bin Haji Abd. Kadir, Joint Force Commander. He opened his speech by expressing his appreciation to all RBAF Officers and personnel who are currently serving as well as to those who have served in the JFHQ RBAF in the past years. He proceeded to citing JFHQ RBAF's developments and achievements, as well as various challenges that has been endured throughout its 13 years of formation as a recognition to the perseverance and commitment of JFHQ's personnel at all levels.

Among the achievements have been the strengthening of Brunei Darussalam's defence diplomacy through the involvement of RBAF in overseas operations such as the International Monitoring Team (IMT) and the Independent Decommissioning Body Verification, Monitoring and Assistance Team (IDB VMAT) in the Republic of Philippines and with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL). He also added the success in supporting the Whole of Nation/Government Approach in tackling the Covid-19 Pandemic by the establishment of the Security Task Force and Covid-19 Task Force Support.

The Joint Force Commander reiterated to remind all JFHQ's personnel to always show a high level of discipline, commitment, dedication and professionalism in performing at any given task. Furthermore, any new and significant implementations to be made in 2021 will continue to require endless commitment, cooperation and involvement from all JFHQ personnel. He then ended his speech by congratulating those who have involved in making this year's celebration a success.

The event then continued with a cake cutting ceremony to commemorate the 13th Anniversary of JFHQ and a corporate video was also launched. The ceremony concluded with a group photo session and a recitation of Doa to end the ceremony.
