REPUBLIC OF PHILIPPINES, 21 OCTOBER 2025 – Staff Officer Grade 1, J6 Communication & Information System from the Joint Force, Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), Lieutenant Colonel Caslindawati binti Samil accompanied by Staff Officer Grade 3, J6 Communication & Information System, Joint Force RBAF, Captain Fauziah binti Sabli and Nur Sabiqah binti Haji Rosli, Research Officer, Centre of Science and Technology Research Development Ministry of Defence (CSTRAD MINDEF) participated in 2nd Integrated Project Team Meeting for Phase 2nd of ASEAN Direct Communication Infrastructure (ADI) held in Manila, Republic of the Philippines from 21 to 22 October 2025. The meeting was co-chaired by Brunei Darussalam and Republic of the Philippines.
The meeting reaffirmed ASEAN Member States' commitment to strengthening secure and resilient communication links and enhancing regional defence cooperation under the ASEAN Defence Minister's Meeting (ADMM) framework. This technical meeting is to expand ADI capabilities to include secure email and video teleconferencing. The usage includes information sharing, virtual meetings and multilateral communications between all ADMM and ADMM-Plus countries in both crisis and routine exchanges. Promoting ADI utility across other existing initiatives would enhance the efficient usage of the system.
The operational concept of the ADI is part of the ADMM process drafted during 'The Technical Working Group Establishing the ADI in the ADMM Process' back in August 2014 in Brunei Darussalam. ADI Phase 1 focused on the establishment of direct, bilateral secured voice lines and fax connectivity between defence authorities for urgent notifications and initial information exchange. The ADI Phase 1 was launched in October 2017 during the 4th ADMM-Plus Meeting.

REPUBLIK FILIPINA, 21 OKTOBER 2025 – Pegawai Turus J6 Perhubungan Sistem Maklumat, Angkatan Bersama, Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (AB ABDB), Yang Mulia Leftenan Kolonel Caslindawati binti Samil dan diiringi oleh Pegawai Turus 3, J6 Perhubungan Sistem Maklumat, AB ABDB dan Nur Sabiqah binti Haji Rosli, Pegawai Penyelidik, Pusat Penyelidikan dan Perkembangan Sains dan Teknologi Kementerian Pertahanan telah menghadiri 2nd Integrated Project Team Meeting For Phase 2nd Of Asean Direct Communication Infrastructure (ADI) yang berlangsung dari 21 hingga 22 Oktober 2025 di Manila Republik Filipina. Mesyuarat ini telah dipengerusikan bersama oleh Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Republik Filipina.
Mesyuarat ini juga membincangkan mengenai dengan sekuriti aspek dan kesiapsiagaan ASEAN Member States dalam projek meniaktaraf sistem ADI fasa 2 sebagai platform sistem perhubungan pelbagai hala antara ASEAN Defence Minister's Meeting (ADMM) framework. Mesyuarat ini merupakan mesyuarat teknikal yang membincangkan mengani dengan projek menaiktaraf keupayaan sistem ADI kepada secure email and video teleconference system (VTC).
Konsep operasi ADI termasuk dalam proses ADMM yang draf semasa 'The Technical Working Group Establishing the ADI in the ADMM Process' pada August 2014 di Negara Brunei Darussalam. ADI fasa 1 hanya tertumpu kepada penubuhan direct, bilateral secured voice lines and fax connectivity diantara Kementerian Pertahanan sebagai urgent notifications and initial information exchange. Fasa 1 ADI telah dilancarkan pada Oktober 2017 semasa the 4th ADMM-Plus Meeting.
